- I’ve been a vegetarian since 2016. Personally, compassion is the main reason. I watched the movie “Our Daily Bread” 4 years ago, which is talking about the cruel reality behind every delicious meal. I couldn’t finish it because I felt so bad to see animals were killed by butchers or machines no mercy. The animals suffered from pain, hopelessness and fear before they died. I can’t imagine how much pain animals need to pay for a happy tongue of humans. I realized even though the matters we can’t see in our eyes but those literally exist. So I decide to quit meat, I think that is the best way to stop people killing animals. No buying no killing. I understand that even if I go vegan in my whole life, I still can’t change the cruel reality happened again and again. But I believe that I’m doing the right thing, without a doubt.
- I found that I can really help to improve our environment if I don’t eat meat! There are many benefits to earth if you become a vegetarian. For example, reducing carbon emissions, saving species and forests, etc. You might want to reduce meat consumption if you are concerned about global warming. Also, you can help people who don’t have enough food. Nowadays, there are still over 500 million people are suffered from famine around the world. Adjusting our diet is the simplest way to improve the above-mentioned issues. It makes me feel like I’m doing my part for the environment, no matter how small and I feel good.
- I suppose that many disasters relate to global warming, such as wildfire in Australia and Amazon. Global warming is true and it has already influenced many people living around the world. Some people lose their residence and live because of the wildfire. It will go worse if we don’t take action to stop temperature rising. In the end, humans will be getting a taste of our own medicine. The ecological crisis is awakening in us the understanding that what we do to the earth, we do to ourselves. We cannot be inseparable from earth because this planet is our home.
